The Puppy Perfectors has been in business since 1982. We opened the doors at our Columbia City facility in September 2012. Nancy Hansen, the school's owner and founder, educates and helps dog owners develop a relationship with their pets that enables them to enjoy many happy and rewarding years together. Dogs are intelligent and enjoy learning; most are not satisfied just sitting around doing nothing. Many problems people have with their dogs arise because the animals are bored and under-stimulated. Nancy believes training a dog is a lifelong process, and has developed her programs over the years to accommodate the busy lifestyles and different learning paces of individuals and their dogs. Her dog training school encourages people and their dogs to continue training over the years, not just for one 6-8 week set of classes.
Nancy has been teaching people and their dogs for over thirty years. Her teaching background has given her a strong foundation in different learning styles and she has had many years of working with all age groups, both canine and human. Everyone is unique, and at The Puppy Perfectors, the goal is always to adapt the learning experience to each individual and to their dog as well.
